TODAY’S VERSE: Luke 10:41-42
“‘Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed…’”
[New International Version (NIV) Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society]
“The Master said, ‘Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it–it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.’ “

TODAY’S MESSAGE
Once a new year settles and normal life starts rolling, it is very easy to get caught in the busy-ness of life. And it always seems likes there’s so much to do and so little time to count on! Believe me, it happens to all of us in all walks of life. Even in ministry, our commitment to helping others can easily become a distraction when it comes to spending quality time with God.
Marta and Maria are the classical example. They both had good motives, and they both wanted to do their best. The difference was understanding what had the highest priority at that very moment. Having Jesus physically present in their house was not an everyday thing. So, being at His feet was by far what mattered most.
This also applies to us today. Spending time at Jesus’ feet should be our utmost priority every day. Have you taken the time today to sit still in His presence?
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for always being available for me when I need You. Help me to commit a few minutes of my day to simply sit at Your feet and listen to what You wish to teach me. For every day will bring its own challenges, and only spending quality time with You is how I’ll be able to overcome each one of them. In Jesus’ precious name, amen.
