How untrue! All of these claims are untrue marketing-oriented messages that many companies use today to seduce us into doing business with them. That’s all they want. And I consider them untrue because of this simple fact: Who has ever lived life without problems? Even Jesus, God’s Son, experienced all kinds of difficulties and stressful situations –to the point of being considered a criminal and sentenced to death by His own earthly countrymen!
Jesus never promised a way to enjoy problem-free living. On the contrary, He clearly understood first hand what it meant to live an earthly life in the midst of a fallen society. But He did promise to provide us with His peace, which would surely provide us the strength and endurance needed to face and overcome every single obstacle in life –including our everyday worries!
This doesn’t mean that God will never deliver us from trouble. He can surely do this because of His faithfulness and loving care toward His convenant children. But the issue here is not God’s power but our worry, which will always hinder our faith to trust God for positive results.
Brother and Sister… let us not get anxious because of all the problems, troubles or fears we’re facing today. Let us claim our divine promise of God’s perfect peace –which surpasses all understanding– and live by it. This is by far the only true way to enjoy life as it was intended to be lived. Only by living and trusting God’s everlasting peace will we experience true worry-free living.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for providing me perfect peace through Your Son Jesus. Help me to focus each day on Your proved faithfulness, and to cast all my cares upon you, for You will surely care for me. In Your Son Jesus’ name I trust and pray, amen.
