TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 4:18-27; Psalm 37:3-7
Today’s most successful leaders agree in one thing: our goals and dreams need to be written down. It doesn’t matter how many things we wish to do or have, we need to write these down so that we can continually evaluate them and make any needed adjustments as we go along through life.
Especially when a new year starts, almost everyone establishes new-year goals or “resolutions.” Again, the key to succeed on these is to write them down and stick to them within a reasonable timeframe. Results will naturally show.
As Christians –called by God with a divine purpose–, our goals and dreams need to go a step further: they need to be placed under our knees. As we seek God’s face and direction every single day, our goals and dreams should be humbly placed before the feet of our Master. For it was God who placed these seeds in our heart in the first place, and He is the only source able to help bring complete fulfillment to our heart’s desires.
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” (Psalm 37:5, King James Version) And always remember that “…the God who started this great work in you [will] keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish…” (Philippians 1:6, The Message Bible)

TODAY’S PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for designing a divine purpose for my life. And thank You for reminding me to bring all my cares, hopes, dreams and goals unto Your feet, so that Your Spirit may continue to complete the work You have already started in my heart. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
